About the Peg City Arcade
A free pixel-art arcade, made in Winnipeg for Winnipeg. It's a project of the Peg City Scoop, the local newsletter by Winnipeggers, for Winnipeggers.
Why an arcade?
We're all on our phones anyway. We'd rather some of that time went to a silly little game about potholes than to another endless scroll. Every game is short, with a clear ending, so you can play a round and get back to your day.
How it works
- Free for all ages. No sign-up, no account, no personal info.
- Games unlock as the arcade grows. Every new player helps plug in the next cabinet, so bring a neighbour.
- Made here. The games are full of Winnipeg: potholes, geese, winter and everything in between.
What's next
More cabinets, a room of classics and a pet room. Later, local businesses will be able to say thanks to players with offers you use in person. Grown-ups: offers and submissions will be for people 18 and over.
Hear about it first
New cabinets are announced in the Peg City Scoop. Join the Scoop (opens in a new tab): it's free, and you can unsubscribe any time.
