The Peg City Arcade is a free collection of pixel-art games made in Winnipeg by the Peg City Scoop ("we"). This page explains, in plain language, how the arcade works and what happens to information when you use it.
The short version
- The games are free for all ages. No sign-up, no account, no personal information.
- We don't use ads, tracking pixels or analytics.
- A few small things are saved on your own device (like your best scores and your player number). They stay there.
- To count new players fairly, a bot check from Cloudflare runs once on each device.
Playing the games
- The games are for fun. Scores don't win anything, and nothing here is a contest.
- Some games will later unlock thank-you offers from local businesses. Offers will be for people 18 and over in Manitoba, will have their own terms, and are never guaranteed.
- Please play fairly and don't try to break, overload or cheat the site.
- Games are provided as they are. We try to keep them working, but they may change, go "out of order" for a tune-up, or be retired.
What's saved on your device
Your browser keeps a few small notes for this site only. They aren't sent to us.
- Your player number, like PLYR-482913: a random number, the same across all our games. It isn't linked to who you are.
- Game progress: runs left today, best scores and settings such as sound.
- "Counted": a note that this device has already been added to the player count, so it's never counted twice.
- Small conveniences: your cursor choice, and a note that lasts only while the tab is open (for example that you just came through the front door, or that you've already seen today's player goal).
Kids
Anyone can play. Because the games collect no personal information, there's nothing for a child to hand over. Offers and anything you can submit to us will be for grown-ups (18+) only.
Changes
If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
